As long as the work remains on schedule, the tolled link should be complete by late 2024.Once the Yogyakarta-Bawen toll road project is complete, it will connect with both the Semarang-Solo Toll Road and the Solo-Yogyakarta International Airport Kulonprogo Toll Road. The latter is itself under construction at present.Work on the Yogyakarta-Bawen toll road project was originally expected to commence earlier. The concession package for the link was signed in the fourth quarter of 2020 and construction was originally intended to commence in the third quarter of 2021. However, the project has been delayed by various factors, including the COVID pandemic.
