Tender issued for USD771 million Waterway PPP project in Colombia

The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) in Colombia has launched a tender notice seeking a private partner for Canal del Dique project. The 115 km long canal connects the municipality of Calamar and the bay of Cartagena. The project aims to rejuvenate the waterway and restore degraded ecosystems in nearby areas and reduce the flooding risk for the protection of riverside communities.
Apart from restoration works, the private partner will also be responsible for the development of system of locks and gates located at Calamar and Puerto Badel to prevent the uncontrolled entry of large amounts of sediment and flow into the system as well as floodgates in Calamar.
The deadline to submit the response is July 21, 2022.
