Turkey To Get World’s Largest Rooftop Solar Project
15 March 2022
Turkey’s global steel producer Tosyalı Holding is implementing the world’s largest rooftop solar power plant project, reaching a total installed capacity of 140 MW on a 632 m2 area with solar power plant projects launched at all its facilities at the same time.
The solution partners of this project, which will be a role model for many industrial companies around the world, were SolarAPEX, one of the leading institutions in the field of solar power plant turnkey installation services, and Huawei, the global largest provider of smart products in the field of solar energy.
Tosyalı Holding’s rooftop solar plant, which was previously established by the group companies “Tosçelik Profil” and “Sac” at its production facilities in Osmaniye, was among the top five rooftop solar plants in the world. The company raised the bar with its new solar project. Tosyalı also broke his own record and became a role model for many industrial companies around the world.
Fuat Tosyalı stated that this investment includes many firsts; “Tosyalı Roof solar power plant project, which was implemented with the most advanced technology and advanced assembly technique in the world, has the characteristic of being the world’s largest installed power in its field. In addition, it will be the world’s largest annually produced plant with an annual production of 250 million KW/H. In this way, 116,525,000 kg of carbon emission will be prevented and the cleanest steel production of the world will be realized. Tosyalı Roof solar power plant project, which is the world’s largest investment-priced rooftop solar power plant project with price of $71 million, was implemented at a lower cost as a rooftop solar power plant established with the latest technology in the world”
