Key Bulgarian highway deal awarded

An important highway project in Bulgaria has been awarded to a consortium. The project is worth €136.5 million and the consortium team is led by the local contractor, GBS Infrastructure Construction.
The project is for the construction of a 16km highway section that will speed international transport between Bulgaria’s capital Sofia and the border with neighbouring Serbia. Interest was strong for the project and the tender process attracted 10 bids in all.
