LTA Awards Civil Contract for Pasir Ris East Station under CRL Phase 1

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has awarded the civil contract for the design and construction of Pasir Ris East station, under the first phase of the Cross Island Line (CRL1), to Singapore Engineering & Construction Pte. Ltd. - Sinohydro Corporation Limited (Singapore Branch) Joint Venture. This contract is valued at around $363 million.
Construction works for the CRL1 Pasir Ris East station are expected to start in the second quarter of this year, with passenger service expected to commence in 2030.
About the CRL
The CRL is Singapore’s eighth MRT line. It will serve existing and future developments in the eastern, north-eastern and western corridors, linking major hubs such as Jurong Lake District, Punggol Digital District and Changi region.
CRL1 is 29 kilometres long and comprises 12 stations from Aviation Park to Bright Hill.
