Cambodian MPWT reveals alignment of Chroy Chongvar–Svay Chrom bridge
12 January 2022
The Cambodian government is currently selecting the location and model of the Chroy Chongvar–Svay Chrom bridge, with construction expected to begin in 2023, according to Minister of Public Works and Transport Sun Chanthol on 9 January.
The request for support to build the Chroy Chongva – Svay Chrom was proposed by Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen in February. PM Hun Sen said that the Cambodia government would prioritise this bridge by utilising the US$700 million loan provided by the South Korean government for 2019-2023.
