Plans set out for developing infrastructure in Cancun, Mexico

The Mexican Government is setting out plans for developing infrastructure in Cancun. The area is a popular holiday destination and suffers from heavy congestion during peak vacation periods.
A budget of US$491.4 million has been set for improvement works. Road infrastructure will be prioritised. The new Nichupte Bridge is one of the major projects for the area and will be constructed under the PPP model. Improvements will also be carried out to Colosio Boulevard.
