SFE Plans To Sign 3-4 Green Hydrogen Projects
16 December 2021The Sovereign Fund of Egypt (SFE) plans to sign around 3-4 green hydrogen projects.
The first ever green hydrogen unit of Egypt is being built in the Ain Sokhna by Scatec, SFE, Nassif Sawiris-backed Fertiglobe, and Orascom Construction.
Other companies which have shown their interests in setting up hydrogen units in the country are Eni, ThyssenKrupp, Siemens, and General Electric.
Saudi Aramco said that hydrogen has huge potential in the kingdom with renewables which gives it an advantage over other countries.
Carbon sequestration infrastructure is also being built in the country and it focuses on low-carbon gas resources.
