OHLA is awarded the construction of a viaduct in Colombia worth more than 26 million euros

OHLA expands its portfolio in Colombia with the award of a contract for the construction of a 750-meter-long viaduct at kilometer 58 of the Bogotá-Villavicencio road that connects the Eastern Plains and the center of the country. The initiative has been granted by the Government of Colombia, through the Instituto Nacional de Vías (Invías), with an award amount that exceeds 26 million euros.
This project is part of a program made up of 50 public works executed by Invías within the ‘Commitment to Colombia’ strategy, with an investment, by the Colombian Government, of a total of 2,573 million euros (11.5 billion pesos), the generation of more than 100,000 new direct jobs and the paving of 1,660 new kilometers of road that will improve the quality of life of 23 million inhabitants throughout the country.
Colombia, a strategic market
OHLA has been present in Colombia for nearly three decades. Throughout this time, the company has developed civil engineering and singular building projects, the main ones being, in the road field, the construction works of the Quindío section to complete the Crossing of the Cordillera Central; the construction of Stage 1 of Aeropuerto del Café; the construction of the Metropolitan Aqueduct of Cúcuta; the adaptation to the Transmilenio system of the Troncal Avenida Ciudad de Cali Section 1 in Bogotá D.C., and the construction of Avenida El Rincón and its intersection with Avenida Boyacá, also in Bogotá.
