Skanska builds Center for Adaptive Innovation and Creativity in Radford, Virginia, USA, for USD 81M, about SEK 680M

                        Skanska has signed a contract with Radford University to build the Center for Adaptive Innovation and Creativity (CAIC) in Radford, Virginia, USA. The total contract value is USD 81M, about SEK 680M, which will be included in the US order bookings for the second quarter of 2021.
The 16,500-square-meter CAIC represents the largest capital construction project in the university’s history and will allow for cross-disciplinary collaboration of educational programs. It will include state-of-the-art facilities such as a performing arts theatre auditorium, fashion and interior design labs, clinical labs, painting and drawing studios, music and dance studios, and offices and classrooms.
Construction begins in June 2021, and completion is scheduled for the end of 2023.
