MTCC wins Hithadhoo deal

The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has signed a contract with the Maldives’ Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure for implementation of the S. Hithadhoo Old Harbor Upgrading Project.
MTCC CEO, Adam Azim, signed the deal on behalf of the company and Permanent Secretary, Ms. Zeeniya Ahmed Hameed, put her signature on behalf of MNPHI.
Scope of works for the project will include:
dredging and excavation operations – 234,297cbm;
a 800m breakwater;
a 284m quay wall;
installation of 1,420sqm harbor pavement, harbor lights and navigational aids.
The value of the project is MVR 52.43 million ($3.4 million), said MTCC.
The S. Hithadhoo Old Harbor Upgrading Program is set to be completed within 365 days.
