Suburban Connect’s first tunnel boring machine, TBM Aayushi, has successfully launched from Clarinda in Melbourne, Australia.

The launch of TBM Aayushi marks the start of excavation of Victoria's longest tunnels – 16 kilometres of twin tunnels between Cheltenham and Glen Waverley – that form the southern section of Suburban Rail Loop East.

This is an exciting achievement for everyone involved in delivering Suburban Rail Loop East and a proud moment for the Suburban Connect team!
