Benefits cited by the minister
Alparslan Bayraktar says the 1,500 MW would generate 4.6 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity. According to him, this output would cover the needs of about 2 million households. He states that it would avoid natural gas imports worth $852 million a year.
The minister says the level of participation reflects investor confidence in the Turkish energy sector. He thanked all participating companies and congratulated the winners. He also expressed the hope that these capacities would be brought online quickly.
