Work is progressing on the future BlueTechPort in the Port of Barcelona
30 October 2026COMSA Corporación, in a joint venture with Vopi4, is making progress on the refurbishment of the former industrial buildings on the Sant Bertran quay and the surrounding area in the Port of Barcelona, with a view to transforming them into the future headquarters of BlueTechPort, a new hub dedicated to the blue economy.
Led by the World Trade Centre Barcelona, the project aims to transform these spaces into a centre designed to host companies and organisations linked to the blue economy, fostering innovation and the development of new activities in the Port of Barcelona.
Work is currently focused on erecting the timber structure, which is progressing in parallel with the construction of the steel structure and the refurbishment of the façades. These works are being carried out whilst preserving the original industrial character of the buildings.
The project combines the restoration of industrial heritage with the creation of new spaces to drive innovation and the development of the blue economy in Barcelona.
