Construction begins on Dubai Creek Gardens project

Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) has started construction works on the Dubai Creek Gardens project, a AED3bn master-planned residential project located in phase two of DHCC.

Germany-headquartered firm Bauer has begun the enabling works on the project.

Covering over 127,000 square metres (sq m) along Dubai Creek, the project is being developed by local developer Global Partners.

Dubai Creek Gardens will deliver over 1,400 residences.

The scheme will also introduce the UAE’s first Westin- and Renaissance-branded residences, developed in collaboration with US-based Marriott International, expanding Dubai’s portfolio of internationally branded homes.

Dubai-based Mirage Leisure & Development has been appointed as project consultant.

Marriott International will operate the project upon completion.

Planned as a low-density, nature-integrated community, Dubai Creek Gardens will allocate 70% of its land area to landscaped gardens, parks, sports facilities and wellness-focused outdoor spaces.

Dubai real estate developments dominate the UAE’s construction market, with schemes worth over $323bn in the execution or planning stages, according to GlobalData.

This aligns with the company’s forecast that output in the UAE construction sector will grow by 4.2% in real terms in 2026, supported by developments in infrastructure, energy and utilities, and residential construction projects.
