Tete Urban Sanitation Renovation Project in Mozambique Handed Over

On August 4, the Tete Urban Sanitation Renovation Project in Mozambique, successfully completed the construction of 2,933 household toilets, completed all construction tasks one month ahead of schedule and was officially handed over , and has obtained the handover certificate .
The project is a major public health initiative implemented by CJIC in Tete City, Tete Province, Mozambique. Covering five major communities, it benefits nearly 50,000 residents. The successful implementation of the project has not only significantly improved basically sanitation conditions in Tete but also significantly enhanced the living environment of the local community, earning praise and recognition from the Mozambican government, beneficiaries, and mainstream media.
During construction, CJIC’s team implemented ESG principles, hiring a large number of local employees, particularly providing approximately 1,000 jobs during the peak construction period. Skills training was also provided to effectively enhance the professional skills of local employees. Furthermore, the project team focused on refined management, continuously optimizing construction organization and strengthening process control to ensure high-quality project progress, ultimately achieving the goals of "early completion, zero accidents, and zero complaints."
