5 June 2025
Cimic subsidiary Leighton Asia has been awarded a $130m contract by Indian real estate company Elan Group to build a residential project in Gurugram, a city on the southwest outskirts of New Delhi.
The “Elan the Emperor” development will consist of 10 145m-tall towers on a 49ha site. Leighton will handle civil and structural engineering, and will manage the project’s subcontractors.
The scheme, which is hoping to win a LEED Gold certificate, will be located by the eight-tower “Elan the Presidential” development, which Leighton is also building on behalf of Elan Group.
Brad Davey, Leighton Asia’s managing director, said: “With more than two decades of on-the-ground experience in India, Leighton Asia takes pride in setting new benchmarks for quality and sustainability in large-scale residential projects.”
Juan Santamaría, Cimic Group’s executive chair, added: “We are pleased to be providing another premium residential project for the growing population of the region.”
