Contractor appointed for Emaar Creek Harbour project
4 March 2025Dubai-based real estate developer Emaar Properties has appointed local firm Engineering Contracting Company as the main contractor to build its Arlo residential tower in the Dubai Creek Harbour area.
The enabling works have started and are being undertaken by local firm Pinnacle Piling.
UK-based firm Kettle Collective is the project consultant, and local engineering firm Chawla is the architect of record.
Arlo is a 52-storey residential building that will offer 431 one-, two- and three-bedroom units.
The project is slated for completion in 2027.
In October last year, Emaar Properties appointed local firm Wade Adams for the infrastructure works on phases one and two of the Oasis development in Dubai.
The scope of works includes the construction of pumping stations; utility connections for potable water, treated sewage effluent and foul sewerage; and other associated infrastructure works.
Dubai’s heightened real estate activity is in line with GlobalData’s forecast that the construction industry will register annual growth of 3.9% in 2025-27, supported by investments in infrastructure, renewable energy, oil and gas, housing, industrial and tourism projects.
The residential construction sector is expected to record an annual average growth rate of 2.7% in 2025-28, supported by private investments in the residential housing sector, along with government initiatives to meet rising housing demand.
