Nu Energy, Cospowers join forces to revolutionize energy storage in Western Balkans

Nu Energy and Investment’s strategic agreement on battery storage for the Western Balkans paves the way for its 500 MW renewable energy target.
Nu Energy and Investment DOO and Cospowers Technology Co., Ltd, one of China’s leading Tier 1 manufacturers, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for solar projects in the Western Balkans. The signing marks an important step towards the integration of advanced storage solutions into renewable energy infrastructure, aiming to enhance efficiency, stability, and sustainability in the region.
This strategic partnership is a crucial step toward Nu Energy’s goal of reaching 500 MW in renewable energy capacity! As part of its long-term investment strategy, the company will implement Cospowers’ cutting-edge battery storage technology to ensure reliable and uninterrupted clean energy supply across the Balkans.
Nu Energy to be EPC partner for energy storage projects
The key objectives of the agreement are:
- Advanced storage integration – Cospowers’ BESS technology will be assessed and implemented in future Nu Energy projects to enable 24/7 clean energy availability.
- EPC partnership – Nu Energy will serve as the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner for energy storage projects, leading local implementation efforts.
- Market Development – Both companies will collaborate on feasibility studies, pilot projects, and technical demonstrations to drive innovation in the renewable energy sector.
This partnership aims to position the Western Balkans as a leader in energy storage solutions while accelerating the region’s transition to greater energy independence and lower carbon emissions.
