CEEC Wins Bidding of Multiple Overseas Projects
17 January 2025
Recently, CEEC secured several contracts and won the bidding of multiple projects in international markets.
CPECC Shanxi Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd., a CEEC subsidiary, won the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a 500 MW offshore wind power project in southern Vietnam, marking continued success in Vietnam's offshore wind market.
This is the subsidiary's second offshore wind power EPC project in Vietnam, following the Tan Thuan offshore wind power project. In recent years, the subsidiary has leveraged its professional expertise to deepen its presence in Vietnam's renewable energy market, earning high recognition from investors and project owners for its exceptional performance, high quality and efficiency.
CEEC Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. signed an EPC contract for the expansion of the Magat 16 MW/19 MWh energy storage system in the Philippines, achieving a new breakthrough in international energy storage business.
Located in Isabella Province, Luzon Island, the project will add a 16 MW/19 MWh grid-forming energy storage system to the existing 24 MW facility, along with associated control systems and high-voltage equipment. The grid-forming storage system can independently adjust voltage and frequency, helping enhance power system stability.
Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2025, with commercial operation expected by 2026. Once completed, the expansion project will effectively support local grid stability and promote renewable energy development and sustainable growth.
CEEC Guangxi Construction Bureau Co., Ltd. signed a contract for an industrial and domestic waste treatment facility in Tay Ninh Province, Vietnam.
Situated in Huyen Ben Cau, the project site borders Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc provinces to the east, Ho Chi Minh City to the southeast, Long An Province to the south, and Cambodia to the west and north. It includes the design, procurement, and construction of various recycling systems, sorting facilities, incineration systems, hazardous waste landfills, and wastewater and waste liquid treatment systems.
Upon completion, the facility will significantly enhance industrial and domestic waste treatment capacity in Tay Ninh Province and surrounding areas, reduce environmental pollution, enable resource recycling, promote the development of related industry chains, and contribute to local environmental sustainability and ecological balance.
