Saudi’s Knowledge Economic City awards $134.1 million Contract to China Gezhouba Group
24 December 2024The Knowledge Economic City, Saudi Arabia Announces that it has signed the Contract with China Gezhouba Group International Engineering Company – CGGC to Execute all Contracting Works for Additional Residential Buildings as Part of the First Phase of Al-Alya Project.
The value of the contract is SAR 502.9 million.
The contract consist of executing the construction, electromechanical and finishing works for a group of 7 towers providing residential apartments of various sizes as part of Al-Alya mixed-use Project. This new contract will add to the current work of the current group of buildings being constructed.
The duration of the contract is 30 months.
Al Alya is one of the anchor projects at the Knowledge Economic City. It establishes a modern and interconnected civilized environment in a gated complex (compound) with integrated services and multiple uses that meets all the needs of its residents and achieves their aspirations in terms of privacy, luxury, tranquility and calm.
Its various components have been distributed over an area of (270) thousand square meters to form an integrated miniature city with an architectural development that combines modernity, history and heritage.
The project provides gardens, pedestrian paths and carefully planned streets that preserve the rights of pedestrians and take into account their safety at all times. It combines housing, business, hospitality, shopping and entertainment with its components represented in residential units of different sizes and types, as it includes about (two thousand) units distributed over (1,000) residential apartments and (430) hotel apartments managed by the International Life Group for Hotels under its well-known brand Hyatt House and (430) serviced apartments managed by the Knowledge Economic City in addition to (70) residential villas (mansions). It also includes office buildings, commercial areas, a mosque and health clubs distributed within the project, and includes a nursery and the Hayat Center Hotel with (148) hotel rooms.
One of the most important components of the project is the central park, which has an area of more than (40) thousand square meters, in addition to other open areas, bringing their total to about (70) thousand square meters, which enhances the quality of life.
