Bahrain starts PQ for 1,200 MW Sitra IWPP

Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), Kingdom of Bahrain announces the commencement of a pre-qualification (PQ) process for the development of Sitra Independent Water and Power Project (Sitra IWPP).
The Project Scope of work includes power capacity of 1200 MW and 30 MIGD of sea water desalination capacity.
The Project will be awarded on build, own and operate (BOO) basis.
Interested local and international developers, who are eligible and have experience in undertaking similar projects can submit their PQ by 11 December 2024, statement mentioned.
