Five Substations of Saudi Arabia PV Power Plant Undertaken by CEEC Succeeds in Back-Energization
18 October 2024On October 15th, 5 substations of Al Shuaibah PV Power Plant undertaken by CEEC, including #9-#13, succeeds in the first time of back-energization. Various substation equipment is energized normally and run stably, and parameters are qualified, which marks Al Shuaibah PV Power Plant in Saudi Arabia is qualified for synchronization in full capacity.
The Project, located in Al Shuaibah Area, Jeddah City, Makkah Province, Saudi Arabia, has a total installed capacity of 2.6 GW. The globally advanced N-type double-sided photovoltaic modules and flat uni-axial photovoltaic tracking supports have been adopted for the Project. A total of 13 sets of 110kV substations have been planned.
After the completion, the total electricity generated by the Plant in 35 years is expected to be 282.2 billion kWh, which will reduce 245 million tons of carbon dioxide emission. The effect is similar to that brought by 545 million trees planted in deserts of Saudi Arabia.
