CNNC Chairman visits France for nuclear energy cooperation
1 October 2024Yu Jianfeng, chairman of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), led a delegation to visit the ITER organization in France, deepening comprehensive bilateral cooperation, promoting bilateral exchanges and collaboration in nuclear power technology and projects, and further strengthening their partnership in the clean energy sector.
During his visit to the ITER, the two sides reviewed the progress of their cooperation in the field of nuclear fusion and discussed the trends of future development. They signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to further underscore the framework for cooperation in areas such as technological innovation, project management and personnel training, reaching a new consensus for future collaboration and laying a solid foundation for future partnerships.
After visiting the ITER organization, Yu came to the European branch of China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd, a CNNC subsidiary, heard a work report, and toured the main equipment installation hall. He expressed the recognition for the project's progress and achievements, and stressed the necessity to further optimize management processes on the basis of quality guarantee so as to ensure that relevant project will go ahead efficiently and on schedule.
