5 September 2024
A 20-megawatt photovoltaic (PV) project in Gifu, Japan, contracted by CEEC’s subsidiary CPECC Shanxi Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd. was successfully connected to the grid and began generating electricity at full capacity on August 29, local time.
Situated in Mount Oamami, Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture in central Japan, the project is divided into 16 plots for construction, covering an area of 117 hectares, and operates in an unmanned mode.
It is expected to provide the local area with 30 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, resulting in a reduction of 20,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
This project serves as a solid guarantee and positive contribution to promoting the transition to green energy and addressing climate change.
Throughout the project's development, the project team successfully tackled numerous challenges, including frequent earthquakes, typhoons, long winters, and heavy snowfall.
They planned ahead, increased resource investment, and implemented real-time monitoring of project progress, quality, and safety. Through strict quality management and process control, the project ultimately achieved high standards of performance and received unanimous praise from the owner and partners.
