Two in running for $680m Canberra hospital contract

Cimic subsidiary CPB Contractors and UK-based Multiplex Construction have been shortlisted to build the US$680m Northside Hospital Project in Canberra.
The facility will join the North Canberra Hospital campus in Bruce and will be the Australian Capital Territory’s biggest-ever health infrastructure project.
CPB Contractors and Multiplex Construction were selected owing to their experience delivering large healthcare facilities and their promise to create job and training opportunities in the area.
Local government will work with the community, stakeholders, consumers and the workforce on the hospital’s design.
The selection process will run until late 2024, with the contract due to be awarded in early 2025.
