The heads of the two countries witnessed the completion of the China-aided Tajikistan Government Office Buildings
17 July 2024On the afternoon of July 5th local time, President Xi Jinping and President Emomali Rahmon attended the completion ceremony of the Tajikistan Parliamentary Building and Government Office Building, which were aided by the Chinese government, in Dushanbe. The heads of the two countries visited the project display boards, unveiled the plaques for the two buildings, and delivered speeches. It was the first time that China had ever adopted the approach of joint design in its foreign assistance programs. The newly-inaugurated buildings have set an example of Tajik architectural styles and Chinese construction technologies and a major result in the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). China IPPR, a subsidiary of CAMCE, was responsible for the design and whole-process management of the Tajikistan government office building.
It is the highest-level government office building in Tajikistan and one of the landmark projects of pragmatic cooperation between China and Tajikistan. Its completion will help push China-Tajikistan relations to a higher level and outline a new blueprint for bilateral relations between the two countries.
During this event, official media such as Xinhua News, China Media Group, CGTN, etc. reported on the relevant situation of the Tajikistan government office building.
