10 April 2024
The National Agency for Public Facilities (ANEP) has chosen the design team to design the US$500 million Casablanca Grand football stadium located on a 100-ha site in the town of El Mansouria, in the province of Benslimane, 38 km north of Casablanca, Morocco.
The consortium comprises American firms Populous and M-E Engineers, along with Maffeis Engineering from Italy and UK-based consultant Rider Levett Bucknall.
The stadium will meet all FIFA requirements, ensuring full compliance for hosting matches during the FIFA World Cup 2030, as Morocco has been designated as a joint host alongside Spain and Portugal. Additionally, it will serve as the home stadium for two local clubs. The project encompasses the construction of various facilities, including a public assembly hall, dressing rooms, medical services area, media centers, four training pitches, and both secure and general parking facilities.
