ACWA Power Signs USD 262.7 million PPA for 200MW Wind Project in Uzbekistan
1 April 2024ACWA Power Co., Saudi Arabia announced in a statement that it has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA), under public-private partnership, with the National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan.
As part of the agreement, the company will develope Nukus2 200 MW wind power project along with battery energy storage system (BESS) to be set up in Uzbekistan.
The value of the contract is SAR 985.13 million (USD 262.7 million).
Contract Scope of Works involves build, own, operate and transfer at end of PPA term. The duration of the contract is 25 years.
