Narrow-gauge container flatcars made by CRRC Qiqihar mass exported to Australia for the first time
28 March 2024Recently, narrow-gauge container flatcars developed by CRRC Qiqihar Co., Ltd. were shipped from Dalian Port to Australia. This is the first time the company mass exports narrow-gauge container flatcars to Australia.
The 65 narrow-gauge container flatcars shipped this time will mainly be used for the transportation of special containers in Queensland, Australia, and can meet the other various container transportation conditions. During the development process, the actual situation of railways in Queensland and the client’s requirements, including car weight reduction, bearing surface reduction and operational speed increase, were fully considered. Green, low-carbon innovative design concept and key technologies like body lightweight and high-reliability rolling stock were adopted to significantly reduce the weight of the flatcar and reduce development costs, while improving the safety and reliability of the vehicle.
The successful development of the new flatcar will provide the client with more comprehensive quality services and better satisfy the client’s need for development in the transportation market in Eastern Australia.
