Tutor Perini subsidiary wins $136m Illinois road and bridge contract

Lunda Construction, a subsidiary of American contractor Tutor Perini, has entered the lowest bid for a bridge replacement and highway improvement project on the border between Illinois and Indiana.
The company bid $136m for the project, which was let by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
It involves 2.5km of work along Interstate 64 near Grayville, Illinois. This will include the replacement of dual bridges over the Wabash River on the boundary between the states.
Construction is due to begin in the third quarter of 2024, with substantial completion in the fourth quarter of 2029.
