The Albanian Gas Service Company has awarded technical evaluation provider Tech Inspect a 405,000 euro contract for the assessment of the natural gas Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) in the Albanian territory.
Tech Inspect won the deal with an offer lower than the estimated 1.55 million euros budget, AGSco said in a tender winner announcement.
The evaluation is part of TAP’s maintenance plan for its gas transmission infrastructure in Albania, according to the tender notice. It should be completed by September 2025.
AGSco is in charge of the maintenance of TAP on Albanian territory. The Albanian government holds 75% of its shares and the remaining stake is owned by Italian energy infrastructure company Snam.
TAP, is a key segment of the Southern Gas Corridor and it transports natural gas from Azerbaijan to Europe through Greece, Albania, and the Adriatic Sea to Italy.
