Completion Ceremony of the World Bank Statistics School Held in the Republic of Congo

On February 13th, the completion ceremony of the World Bank Statistics School Project in the Republic of the Congo was held. Makosso, Prime Minister of the Republic of the Congo attended the ceremony and cut the ribbon for the project. Government officials and representatives from various sectors attended the ceremony, including the Minister of Planning, Statistics and Sub-regional Integration of the Republic of Congo, the Director of the Business Department of the World Bank, the Director of the Equal Growth, Finance and Innovation Department of the World Bank and other government officials and personnel from all walks of life. Zhao Baojun, the Deputy General manager of Zhengwei Congo, were also invited to attend.

At the ceremony, the Minister of Planning, Statistics and Sub-regional Integration of the Republic of the Congo and the Director of the World Bank's Business Department delivered speeches. They said that the successful completion of the project marks a new stage in the development of statistics and planning in the country, and the level of infrastructure and talent training capacity in this field are crucial to the country’s development and progress. Funded by the World Bank, the World Bank Statistics School Project will train qualified professionals in the statistics field and provide reliable statistics for government decision-making, economic planning, public policy monitoring, and social development, thereby helping to strengthen the country's capacity in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
