Skanska builds jet fuel transmission systems at LaGuardia Airport in New York, USA, for USD 113M, about SEK 1.2 billion

Skanska has signed a contract with LGAFUEL LLC for the construction of the LaGuardia Airport (LGA) Jet Fuel Transmission Systems project in Queens, New York, USA. The contract is worth USD 113M, about SEK 1.2 billion, which will be included in the US order bookings for the first quarter of 2024.

The project involves the construction of approximately 3,350 meters (11,000 feet) of two parallel jet fuel transmission lines, electrical and communication duct banks, below ground isolation valve vaults and cathodic protection systems. Additional work includes the modification of LaGuardia’s existing civil, utilities, electrical, communication duct banks and infrastructure to support the operations and maintenance of the hydrant fuelling system.
Work commenced in January 2024 with expected completion in May 2026.
