PPA signed for 84.8 MW wind and solar park in Denmark
31 January 2024
Eurowind Energy, a company specialising in renewable energy installations, has signed a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with GreenLab in Skive. The purchased electricity will come from Eurowind Energy's 84.8 MW solar and wind hybrid park located south of GreenLab and will be directly connected to GreenLab's energy infrastructure inside their green industrial park.
The project comprises 54 MW of wind energy and 30.8 MW of solar energy and is expected to generate about 186 GWh of energy annually.
The agreement will supply more than two TWh of renewable energy over the next ten years and is one of the biggest PPA-agreements in Denmark. The renewable energy will be used by businesses inside the industrial park, working with pyrolysis, biogas, and bioproteins, as well as in the upcoming Power-to-X production, which is soon to become a reality within the park. This approach ensures that solar and wind energy directly and positively impact the value chains within the park and contribute to the green transition.
