Three years after it was launched, the undertaking led jointly by Carmacks Enterprises, VINCI Construction GeoInfrastructure (both VINCI Construction subsidiaries) and Graham Construction opened to traffic on 19 December 2023 for Calgarians and users from throughout the province of Alberta.
This occasion follows on from the opening of the road’s north section in October 2023, crystallising the project as a symbol of commitment and performance, thanks to its delivery 10 months ahead of schedule. The completed Calgary Ring Road will offer users smoother traffic, with more than 100 km of continuous roads encircling the city and connecting it to the rest of Canada.
