Romania: Electricity distribution and transmission fee to increase from January

President of the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) George Niculescu said that fees for electricity distribution operators will increase in 2024 by 3.3% and for electricity transmission operators by 1.5%.
All the requests submitted by the distribution operators were analyzed very meticulously, he added.
The distribution fees will be increased by 3.4% on average. The average is made up of all distribution areas and across all voltage levels.
In the same period, the inflation rate for 2024 is estimated to be 4.6%.
