Skanska signs additional contract for the expansion of NKT’s cable factory in Karlskrona, Sweden, for about SEK 300M

Skanska has signed an additional contract with NKT HV Cables AB regarding time-critical work with foundation and framework. The contract is worth SEK 300M, which will be included in the order bookings for Sweden in the fourth quarter, 2023.
The existing collaboration agreement between the parties is now supplemented with another contract linked to time-critical work such as foundation and structural work.
Danish NKT is a leading manufacturer of high-voltage cables. High-voltage cables are an enabler for increased installation of renewable energy sources and an important part of the green transition both in Sweden and abroad. NKT’s investment will contribute to Europe’s ability to develop the distribution of renewable energy sources and increase technological development in Blekinge and Sweden.
