Oman Green Hydrogen summit begins, MoUs signed
13 December 2023Hydrom signs two 'project development' and land usufruct agreements with the Salalah Hydrogen2Consortium and a memorandum of understanding with the Oman Investment Authority (OIA) and Siemens Energy Company for the development, establishment, and operation of an electrolyzer manufacturing facility in the Sultanate of Oman.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with Asyad Group for cooperation in the logistics sector to support the implementation of green hydrogen projects during the Oman Green Hydrogen Summit.
An exhibition, as part of the Oman Green Hydrogen Summit opens its activities at the Convention and Exhibition Center, with the participation of about 40 local and international companies, displaying the latest projects and modern technologies in the clean energy industry.
The Minister of Energy and Minerals said the Green Hydrogen Summit represents an opportunity to exchange experiences and learn about the latest techniques and technologies developed by international companies in this sector.
The exhibition will unveil the first locomotive truck powered by hydrogen fuel, belonging to the German-made “BMW” company, with the participation of the Korean Hyundai brand, and the launch of the Tahzeen company, affiliated with the Omani National Engineering and Investment Company, which works in the field of sustainable energy storage.
