5 December 2023
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has invited interested firms to submit their comparative proposals for the PHP23.4 billion (US$422 million) Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) extension project in the Philippines.
This project involves financing, designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining a 59.4-km four-lane toll road under a 34-year concession period. The bidding process will adhere to the Build-Operate-Transfer Law, with a single-stage qualification and bidding process.
The extension, starting from TPLEX in Rosario, La Union, and ending in San Juan, La Union, aims to boost development in Northern Luzon, enhance connectivity to Central Luzon and Metro Manila, promote economic activity, alleviate road congestion, and foster new growth centers in adjacent regions.
Comparative proposals should be submitted to the DPWH on or before March 15, 2024.
