Oman Signs agreement for $384 million Cultural Complex

HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, Oman signed an agreement to set up the main building of Oman Cultural Complex to the tune of RO 147.8 million.
The project, which will be completed within a maximum period of 3 years, will occupy an area of 400,000 sqm. It will accommodate the National Theatre, the National Library and the National Records and Archives Authority.
The agreement was signed with a consortium of two companies.
Oman Cultural Complex constitutes a modern landmark and an edifice featuring the country’s civilization, culture, scholarly accomplishments and institutional entity.
The complex will contribute to the advancement of cultural, literary, theatrical and research action and support the organization of cultural programmes and events.
