Northern Region Cement Co. awards $190m Contract to KHD Company
7 November 2023Northern Region Cement Co., Saudi Arabia announced in a statement that it has signed a contract to construct a line with a production capacity of 1,320,000 tons Cement / year, in The Republic of Iraq.
The Project has been awarded to KHD Humboldt Wedag, Germany.
The value of the contract is USD 139 millions.
KHD Humboldt Wedag stated that it will design and deliver the plant with the latest sustainability-driven technologies, while AVIC, KHD’s parent company, will complete the EPC project in a record time. Contract commencement is subject to the fulfillment of agreed milestones.
In addition, KHD has entered into a technical agreement with Northen Region Cement Co. to enhance their strategic and synergetic collaboration further.
