Skanska builds multi-family houses for Balder in Gothenburg, Sweden, for about SEK 390M
22 July 2023Skanska has signed a contract with Fastighets AB Balder to build two apartment buildings in central Gothenburg, Sweden. The contract is divided into phases where agreements are signed separately for each phase. The production phase that now has been agreed is worth about SEK 390M, which will be included in the order bookings for Sweden in the third quarter of 2023.

The multi-family houses will be built right next to Heden in Gothenburg. They will be seven and 20 stories high, respectively, and will accommodate 192 condominium apartments. On the ground floor there will be business premises and under the houses there will be a shared garage. The buildings are designed so that they blend in well with the surrounding area. The apartments will receive a lot of day light and the yard will be characterized by a lot of greenery. The intention is to certify the buildings according to Miljöbyggnad, level Silver.
Construction work will begin in August 2023 and the project will be completed in the first quarter of 2027.
