Swedish group Skanska has won two contracts in the US, a $67m manufacturing upgrade project and a $60m civil works job in Arizona.
Skanska will upgrade a manufacturing facility in the western US for an unnamed, existing client. Work is due to be completed by April 2024.
In Arizona, Skanska’s signed a $60m civil works contract with mining company BHP Copper at the Solitude Closure Tailings site in Globe.
Work on the project includes stabilising a historic embankment, eliminating the potential for possible related natural risks, and meeting international safety standards.
Construction on the project will commence in April 2023 and is expected to be finished in March 2025.
