Tender launched for USD104 million Airport PPP project in Colombia

National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has announced the launch of a US$104 million tender to contract a concessionaire for Rafael Núñez airport in Cartagena, Colombia.
The scope of work also includes the construction of an international terminal, a new boarding pier parallel to the current building with 5 boarding bridges and expanding platform simultaneously for 15 aircraft type 320. The planned improvements involve the construction of a brand new international terminal spanning 17,000 sq m, expansion of the main areas to 100,000 sq m and remodeling of the existing terminal. These upgrades are part of the 5G infrastructure concession program and are designed to accommodate the increasing air traffic in the Caribbean region and enhance the operational efficiency of the airport.
The pre-construction stage is expected to take 1 year and construction works are estimated to require 2.5 years.
