PROINVERSIÓN has announced that Peru is prioritizing the implementation of the Puente Santa Rosa project, which will be developed through the Works for Taxes mechanism.
The project involves the development of an expressway that will connect Jorge Chávez International Airport with the Costa Verde highway in Peru. The connection will be achieved through a 3.6 km elevated viaduct. The aim of the project is to provide a faster road for arrival and departure at the Airport. The total investment in the expressway is PEN475 million (US$124.35 million). The project will benefit the people of Callao as it will help reduce traffic congestion, as well as help nationals and foreigners who use the access roads to Jorge Chavez International Airport. The scope of the project also includes construction of the Santa Rosa Bridge, accesses, roundabout and overpass in Callao region.
PROINVERSIÓN provides technical and legal assistance to the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) team in order to organize the process of selecting works for taxes as soon as possible. The project is expected to be awarded in the coming months.
