Partnership deal signed for USD150 million Airport PPP project in Laos

Korea Airports Corp. (KAC) has signed a partnership deal with the government of Laos to develop and expand the international airport in Luang Prabang, Laos.
The project includes remodeling and expansion of the airport's terminals and runways, construction of commercial facilities, including food courts and car rental counters and a 55,000-sq m terminal to separate domestic and international passengers. Korea Airports will be responsible for the expansion and management of the airport for 50 years.
The KRW200 billion (US$150 million) project intends to renovate and expand the airport to accommodate over 4.61 million passengers within decades. Normally 1.2 million passengers are traveling through Luang Prabang airport every year.
