Bahrain received Bids for Study of New Greenfield Airport Project
22 November 2022Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (MTT) Bahrain received bidders proposals for the Study of New Greenfield Airport Project.
As per the tender notification, MTT wishes to invite qualified firms to support its efforts to formulate a Strategy and Roadmap Study for implementing a new greenfield airport that will eventually replace Bahrain International Airport (BIA) when the existing airport site can no longer effectively meet the Kingdom’s airport infrastructure needs.
The Study is multidisciplinary in nature, and includes public policy, development strategy, technical, economic, financial, and regulatory analysis, and evaluation.
MTT wishes to engage a lead consultant who shall manage and coordinate the work of various specialist sub consultants and shall act as MTT’s principal advisor.
The Study has far reaching implications not only for one of Bahrain’s most strategic sectors but also for the Kingdom’s overall economy.
