Leighton Asia wins A$129M building project in India

CIMIC Group company Leighton Asia has been selected to construct a high-rise residential project in Mumbai, India, for Birla Niyaara, a flagship mixed use development by Century Estates.
The contract will generate revenue of approximately A$129 million1 for Leighton Asia.
CIMIC Group Executive Chairman Juan Santamaria said: “Leighton Asia has been delivering landmark projects in India for more than 23 years. This award highlights the team’s ability to deliver quality works safely and on time to meet our client’s vision and our experience in delivering premium residential and commercial projects.”

Construction works comprise the delivery of a 70-storey and a 72-storey residential building, including three common basements, a podium and a terrace. A club house and retail section are also to be constructed across a 6.6 hectare site with a total built-up area of approximately 273,000 m2.
Construction commenced in September 2022 and is schedule to complete in mid-2027.
