Mandhoo Harbor dredging nears end
5 October 2022Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has just released the latest update on its Adh. Mandhoo Harbor Development Project
According to MTCC, the first shipment of precast concrete blocks required for quay wall construction for the project has been delivered to project site.
The dredging work on the new harbor basin is progressing well, with 94% completion so far.
Scope of works for the scheme includes:
- dredging and excavation operations of 65,854cbm;
- construction of a 236m quay wall;
- 319m breakwater;
- 71m revetment;
- 50m groynes.
Additionally, the installation of harbor streetlights, navigational aids and construction of 1180sqm of paved area will also be undertaken.
The value of the project is MVR 34.1 million ($2,2 million).
